Judges Comments:
Angle of perspective stopped us in our tracks, and made us want to know more. The news value of the stage collapse pushed it to #1.

Judges Comments:
This one made us laugh right away – shows principal is a good sports, funny image. Well composed and we liked how the kids were sort of ignoring him in the background. Nice feature.

Compelling expressions anticipating the team’s future, we found this to be the most compelling news event in a category where most were not.

This story worked on multiple levels. This told a story of a season where we got a good glimpse of the characters and personalities of the players. Lots of nice photos in the bunch.

Judges Comments:
This was a well-handled “day in the life” type of package. We were impressed with the access, but it really didn’t tell a strong story, it didn’t give us a sense of who the players were and their personalities.
