Bradway, a 5-year-veteran of the force, was killed responding to a 1:52 a.m. domestic disturbance call. Demitra Aaron, left, a resident of the complex, recognized Bradway's picture as the officer whom she has seen at the complex before. "He was really nice. I feel really bad for his family." Bradway was shot and killed by 24-year-old Steven Byrdo, who had been holding his girlfriend hostage inside her apartment for three hours. Bradway had been negotiating with Byrdo, who ambushed Bradway when he entered the apartment after the woman screamed for help. Byrdo was then shot and killed by a second officer.
