The call went in favor of Tudor and Park Tudor held on to win 57-56 in overtime. 1st Place SN-Spot_News  Michael Caterina  Caption: Francisco firefighters work on cutting a ventilation hole in the roof of a home at 2980 South, County Road 650 East that caught fire Monday, Oct. 6 just after 6:30 p.m. According to Francisco Fire Department Chief Mike Sullivan the fire started in the kitchen after a deep fryer accident. "The kitchen was fully engulfed when I got here," Sullivan, one of the first on scene, said. No one was injured but the home had major fire damage in the kitchen and smoke and water damage throughout. Oakland City, Columbia Township, Haubstadt and Princeton fire departments responded to assist with the blaze.

He placed fourth after appearing to finish second, because he left some fruitcake uneaten under his chair. His participation in the 2013 contest was also controversial, when he transferred his fruitcake onto a fellow competitor's plate. 2nd Place P-Portrait  Caitlin O  Caption: WWII veteran Roman Kiefer of Ferdinand was emotional Tuesday when talking about surviving the sinking of the USS Princeton at the Northwood Community Center on Nov. 25 in Jasper. After the ship sank in the Pacific on Oct. 24, 1944, Kiefer and about 14 fellow sailors held on to a 10-person raft for nearly four hours in rough water with sharks nearby. When other US sailors saw the sharks, they fired into the water and Kiefer thought that it was sniper fire from the enemy. This camera is so good and it was amazing that it could handle this scene where Fishers police continue to work the scene off Windermere Blvd. after the body of a middle-aged white male was found in the grass near a retention pond not far from the Windermere pool near 96th and Mollenkopf Road Saturday night Nov. 1, 2014. The scene is being treated as a death investigation.

A 911 call reporting the fire was received at 10 a.m. No one was injured in the blaze, but downtown Loogootee remains heavily damaged.
